OCIA for Children & Teens accompanies young people ages 7–17 who have not been baptized or who need preparation to receive Sacraments of Christian Initiation. Through age-appropriate formation, prayer, and participation in parish life, they grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.

MY CHILD HAS NOT BEEN BAPTIZED
For children and teens ages 7–17 who have never been baptized and are preparing to enter the Catholic Church and receive the Sacraments of Christian Initiation.
MY CHILD WAS BAPTIZED IN ANOTHER CHRISTIAN TRADITION
For children and teens baptized in another Christian tradition whose family is seeking full communion with the Catholic Church. We will help determine which sacramental preparation is appropriate.
MY CHILD WAS BAPTIZED CATHOLIC
For children and teens who were baptized Catholic but have not received First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation. We will help determine the appropriate preparation based on age and sacraments already received.

WHAT TO EXPECT
A Journey We Make Together.
Faith formation is more than preparing for a ceremony. Children and teens are invited to encounter Jesus Christ, learn the Catholic faith, participate in the life of the parish, and prepare for the Sacraments at a pace appropriate for their age and circumstances.
AGE-APPROPRIATE FORMATION
Children and teens learn about the Catholic faith in a way appropriate to their age, background, and previous faith formation.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
Each child’s path is different. Our Faith Formation team will review your child’s sacramental history and help determine the appropriate preparation for Baptism, First Holy Communion, and/or Confirmation.
PRAYER & PARISH LIFE
Families are encouraged to participate in Sunday Mass and parish life as young people learn to pray and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
